ABOUT HERITAGE INN & BANANAKEET CAFE'

Our History

This intimate hotel and restaurant was designed and built by Wellington S. Smith, a native of Tortola, British Virgin Islands.  His vision was inspired by his desire to share the beautiful sunset and serenity of Windy Hills, Carrot Bay with people all over the world. Today, the Heritage Inn & BananaKeet Café are owned and operated by the Smith Family, who very proudly boast of their father’s humble beginnings.

The Heritage Inn is nestled in two plus lush acres, 400 feet directly above the sea on top of Windy Hill, Carrot Bay, at the most beautiful and peaceful location in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. There are absolutely unbeatable views from the Heritage Inn and the scenic north side of Tortola. The view from the private, apartment-like, suites is unequaled in the British Virgin Islands. Along with the spectacular views, you can enjoy Caribbean cuisine offering a blend of local flavors while sitting on the terrace, sipping a creative cocktail and gazing at the sunset or starry night sky.
